I became a fan of Iggy sometime ago, and the Iggy and the Stooges more recently. There performance at the Glastonbury festival in the UK, I think iin 2007 or 8 was fantastic, (was'nt there but saw it on television), and what a real Rock n Roll performance is all ,or should be about, as I told my nephew at the time, hi Luke if your tuning in to this! However Iggy's decision to do adverts for a car insurance company of all things, with a licence to print money by ripping us all off, has completely undermined his credibilty, surely he did'nt need the money, and the sad untimely death of Ron Asheton, surely one of the most underated guitarists of all time just highlighted and compouned this 'betrayl ' of what I thought the guy stood for and represented ! ! But i guess it was or is now, just about his 'financial security', funny how age and reality clouds our hopes and dreams about what we like to believe the music represents ! !
