tragic loss melanie,,coulda been huge this band,but thats how it went,,and even though eddie came from cali,that cant be held against him,maybe this is how it was supposed to play out,,mabey eddie needed to be brought to seattle..........i feel andys smiling down on the band.....rip andy and thanks......

I feel VERY fortunate to have seen MLB & the charismatic Mr. Wood perform. MLB was the OTHER side of the NW music scene, a sweet mesh of glitter rock, groove and big arena grandstand music and Andy Wood was leading the boys with an awesome bravado that only he could bring to that table of G$@#%E (no self-respecting PNW-erner would use the 'G' word.) Tho' Pearl Jam is a good band, MLB was OUR band 100%, (vedder is a Californian). And from those of us who are scene-purists "RIP Andy Wood & Where's that chicken gumbo, baby?"
